Rightwing austerity policies are awesome

except when they're not

Ruth Hurst peered out the front window of her Kanata home Monday until, finally, she saw a neighbour standing at the new community mailbox.

Then, moving as quickly as she could, she made her way out of the house in her wheelchair, her two dogs in tow, and crossed the street to ask for help retrieving her mail.

“Such an ordeal,” Hurst said. “Everything is a challenge these days.”

Monday was the first day Canada Post stopped home delivery in the area — part of cost-reduction efforts announced nearly a year ago and aimed at saving hundreds of millions of dollars for the struggling postal service.

Besides, I'm all for "bashing" Dems when they deserve it.

Bashes Dems, esp. on a site called Democratic Underground. There are plenty of other sites to exercise free speech that will gladly embrace such rhetoric. If poster isn't trying to "persuade" then what is poster's agenda? Isn't most of what we do here an attempt to persuade? I could see if poster also occasionally gave praise, but the constant bashing seems like poster has a biased agenda.

They even have all the Spy Cameras, just like a Surveillance State to their immediate South. And all without a 9/11, too! But, tell me, has Canada been rewriting its Constitution/Bill of Rights, like the USA did right after 9/11?
