Parents sue charter school after substitute teacher has sex with son
The mother of a 17-year-old D.C. charter school student filed an $11 million lawsuit Tuesday after a substitute teacher was accused of having oral sex with her learning-disabled son in a classroom while others were busy at a football pep rally.
The lawsuit, filed in Prince George’s County Circuit Court, names as defendants the teacher, Symone Greene, of Fort Washington; the Delaware-based firm that hired and supplied the teacher to the school; the D.C. Public Charter School Board; and the school’s court-appointed receiver. It alleges battery, neglect in hiring practices and infliction of mental distress. The teenager and his mother are not identified by name in the lawsuit, and The Washington Post generally does not identify victims of sex crimes.
Greene was arrested last week after a faculty member saw a video that the student took of the sexual encounter in Classroom 226. The teenager, who is on the school’s football team, had passed the video to teammates and a childhood friend, according to D.C. police.
Greene was charged with first-degree sexual abuse of a minor and a felony. She has been freed from jail pending a court hearing Nov. 18, but she must wear an electronic monitoring bracelet.

Once again, there's video evidence. Do these teachers honestly believe that a teenage boy in possession of a sex tape of himself and his teacher is not going to show his friends?
