My first tip is after seeing you on Maher last night and listening to you on Thom's show about 200 times, watching you in your presentation in Richmond a couple weeks ago, instead of saying "we need to overturn CU" or "we need to address income inequality"
Bernie, we all know that, what you need to say is HOW and I know you have some quasi socialist ideas as I do, and as we are both Democratic Socialists we know the problem is taxes in one area and ability to get politicians to vote to overturn CU, etc.
SPEAK OUT, say what I know you are thinking
It is time, you WILL be well received!

(19,877 posts)Instead of him saying how to overturn CU, he should run as a Dem, and in 2016, along with ALL Dems running for re-election and new candidates, in solidarity pledge to run all campaigns using only public financing, no corporate or lobbyist donations. Make it the focal point of all Dem campaigns that they will be working solely on behalf of the American people. This, along with a Liberal agenda of higher wages and building a 21st century America/infrastructure, environment and education, will energize the middle class and all our base. 2016 could be a Dem wave election, if we want it to.

(16,286 posts)risk harming Hillary if she gets the nomination, i.e. he wont run as 3rd party because even Bernie knows that while he may not share ideologies with Hillary 100%, the alternative is nightmare, literally
BUT I LIKE YOUR IDEA
MORE PLEASE!!
(I am pretty sure I have heard him say he wouldnt run 3rd party)

(19,877 posts)Kill em with kindness. No negative ads. Sure we can point out their obstruction and bad votes ie no to jobs bill, no to veteran jobs bill, no to taxing outsourcers etc. But ads should be run with messages of hope and optimism, tout their records and accomplishments as our employees. Save the doom and gloom for the GOP. Let them run negative fear mongering ads and we can hit back by politely saying its proof they are too extreme and will keep DC broken. Let them collect the corporate lobbyist cash and squirm trying to explain how "corporations are people" and how they will have to return the favor to their corporate overlords.
This is the issues that will energize America: stand for the middle class and run a campaign at pre-Citizens United levels minus the corporate cash. Union donations acceptable because they represent American workers.

(2,969 posts)"Make his bones" as it were. Something inventive, unusual, that enrages Republicans.
If he does that, then he'll have my attention.
But we already have Dennis Kucinich to give progressive lectures to empty committee rooms.
