We Charge Genocide, a group formed in response to the nation wide police killings of minorities.

I hope you can take a minute to become aware of them, and of how many Fergusons there are across the country.

306 PEOPLE WERE SHOT BY CHICAGO POLICE IN THE LAST 5 YEARS
89 were killed. Here, We Charge Genocide presents twelve of their stories.
They are the stories of children, beloved siblings, young fathers, a grandmother, and one survivor: a small snapshot of the people whose lives were ended and whose communities were tragically altered by Chicago police violence.

becoming much more wrong more quickly.

Very disturbing society when genocide is propagated by those in power.

That's really it, I think. Actually it would really surprise me if police killed civilians more often now than they did in, say, the mid 1990's. (Every other type of homicide is down by 50-70%.) But there wasn't constant footage of everything. We hear about it now.

Though the U.S. government does not have a database collecting information about the total number of police involved shootings each year, it’s estimated that between 500 and 1,000 Americans are killed by police officers each year. Since 9/11, about 5,000 Americans have been killed by U.S. police officers, which is almost equivalent to the number of U.S. soldiers who have been killed in the line of duty in Iraq

There's a war going on but it's not in Iraq
