Frustration with Nancy Pelosi simmers among Democrats

Frustration with Nancy Pelosi simmers among Democrats
Nov 7, 2014

"No Democrat is gearing up to challenge Nancy Pelosi in public, but behind the scenes some Democrats are saying it’s time for new blood at the leadership table ahead of 2016.

Senior aides said they hope the party’s big losses Tuesday would encourage the minority leader to expand her network of allies and advisers to include a broader set of voices for crafting election messaging and congressional agendas.

...Democrats across the board said 2014 would always be a slog of an election. President Barack Obama is unpopular across the country, and the map just didn’t favor Democrats.

There were also broad enthusiasm problems with liberal voters who felt let down by the Obama Administration."

I like Pelosi, she actually got stuff done. She can't do much in the minority, whereas Harry Reid couldn't do much in the majority. Ouster his ass first, please.

I think she really is quite progressive. I don't think Reid was effective in his role.

I just want some strong leaders who will stand up loudly for and actively promote Democratic principles. To hell with trying to appeal to Republicans. We know that doesn't work.

I think Harry is still operating on some idealized theory of how the Senate is "supposed" to work. That era is over thanks to the Tea Party crowd.

It is time for some new blood. Pelosi and Hoyer should both be out.

Politico is NOT on our side, they do not mean us well.

I have no great love for Nancy "Impeachment is off the table" Pelosi, but I will be damned before I'll take anything coming out of Politico about Democrats with anything less than a dumptruck load of salt.

I'm with Charles P. Pierce who calls Politico "Tiger Beat on the Potomoc", and treats them with the truly withering scorn they deserve.

Only to have the Republican Senate give all of them the Big Chill.

She's worthless!
