media anointed candidates and the Dean scream

Until the 2004 Dean campaign, I always imagined that a candidate who challenged the party power structure could emerge and take a party nomination.

At this point, with money controlling both parties, I have come to believe that only a progressive billionaire could change the course of the US.

The cliche "Money Talks" is more than just a cliche.

Roosevelt and Kennedy arrived with the ability to be sure, but the money behind them is part of the invisible mantle of power.

Even buffoons like Donald Trump start out on third base. We are fortunate that he lacks the courage to actually put his ass on the line.

Imagine a George Bush candidacy without the family prestige and money.
I can still barely believe it, even with his family advantages, and I lived through it.

Walk to the podium with a giant wallet in your back pocket and the media kneel.
