What are the odds that the Republican Majority will almost immediately overreach?

by almost immediately i mean within the first 6 months of taking power.

In otherwords to push their agenda so much or so harshly it proves an embarrassment. Like when Gingrich shut down the government.

Until the Democrats can figure out how to make republicans' antics cost them, the pubs won't stop. Why should they?

In the past election, did one Democrat even bother to run an ad about the republicans' government shutdown?

Perhaps what we consider overreach is something the voters have no problem with?
