I see people here shoveling driveway snow into the backs of their pickups for exactly the same reason.
I hate to think of what it's doing to that car's suspension, though.

said as they tried to go to the southern part of the city, it was a white wall of snow, as impenetrable as a solid wall and with near zero visibility.
With all the people sitting in stalled and buried cars on the Thruway, it looks eerily like the 1978 blizzard in Boston, only with more snow.

my parents moved to Los Angeles from Chicago before I was born! As much as I complain about it here, at least we don't have this to deal with. I can handle earthquakes!
