Netflix Pulls Bill Cosby Special Amid Rape Allegations

Netflix has decided to postpone its Bill Cosby special as the embattled comedian faces multiple accusations of rape, the latest from former supermodel and TV host Janice Dickinson.

“At this time we are postponing the launch of the new stand up comedy special ‘Bill Cosby 77,’” a Netflix spokesman said on Tuesday.

The hour-long comedy special was set to air Nov. 27 (after originally being scheduled for Nov. 28) in honor of Cosby’s 77th birthday.

Netflix’s announcement came just hours after “Entertainment Tonight” aired an exclusive interview with Dickinson in which she claimed Cosby sexually assaulted her over 30 years ago.

“I’m doing this because it’s the right thing to do, and it happened to me, and this is the true story,” she said.

Cosby’s other accusers include the director of Temple University women’s basketball team and a former publicist.

He recently canceled an appearance on CBS’ “Late Show with David Letterman” after the Washington Post published an op-ed from a woman alleging another assault.

People still have rights under the Constitution, even if you don't like them.

And its not burglary, it's rape.

He still has his rights and then some. He is not incarcerated, he has 9 figures in the bank, his rights include that the statute of limitations has probably run out on all of these instances. So yeah, he's got his rights.

But Netflix et al, are smart enough to know that he damages their brand at this point.

11. We have a Constitutional right to get paid for a Netflix special?

Wow that is news to me. I knew we had a right to free speech, but I never knew we had the right to be paid big bucks by Netflix to have our speech streamed into millions of homes. Thanks for the lesson, now I am going to demand Netflix gives me a big contract so I can also make money on my free speech.

13. We have a constitutional right to be considered innocent until proven guilty.

But you knew that's what I meant. You just want to make yourself believe that you have more right to your point-of-view in this instance than I do so you have to twist what I said into a nonsensical comparison. If that's what you need to do to make yourself feel consequential, fine.

Have a great evening!

I am not twisting what you said, you said Cosby's Constitutional rights were violated but you have not shown any way in which they were violated. His right to free speech was not violated because he has no right to a Netflix special and his right to be presumed innocent in a court of law has not been violated because he has not been convicted of a crime. In what way do you think his Constitutional rights have been violated?

NBC says it has scrapped a Bill Cosby comedy that was under development, the second outlet within a day to put off or abandon a Cosby project as another sexual assault allegation against the comic has emerged.

NBC spokeswoman Rebecca Marks said Wednesday the project "is no longer under development," and had no further comment."

My Dad was orchestra leader when Richard Pryor did the same saying "I can't do this" when seeing all the white people in audience....but it was different my dad said...Pryor was trying so hard to perform but Cosby was a total ass.
