Ask Jeane Briggs about her kids, and the conversation can last a long time, spanning many names and continents, and containing enough joy and heartache to fill several lifetimes.
Thats what happens when youre a mom of 34 kids five biological and 29 adopted.
Briggs and her husband Paul began adopting children almost 30 years ago, and theyre not done expanding their family yet.

OP
They're happy and the children are happy and I suppose that's all that matters.

I don't want to have any children but I'm happy for those that want them.

(68,644 posts)5. 29 of them adopted, I'm fine with that. The five by natural birth break my personal code.
Leave the world intact, do not take more than can be replenished. Do not add to the world's problems, including the present unsustainable population.
Glad that most of the children are adopted, that's huge!

(38,506 posts)8. I thought so, too.
I would love to adopt, but I can't afford it right now.
There are so many kids who need homes. If the pro-lifers want to call themselves that, instead of harassing people at clinics, they could just take in all the kids who are currently in foster care.
