Since our president is left-handed, he is in his right mind.

I warned you it was a lame answer. Just trying to bring some smiles in an otherwise dark time.

The president of the USA gets a salary of $400,000. Not bad; nearly twice what the British PM gets (not that Dave needs it, with his inherited wealth and extremely rich wife). But it pales in comparison with what a top banker gets. Bob Diamond of Barclays got a salary of £1.35 million (over $2 million) every year. Not to mention all the bonuses they get! And even heads of other businesses and university vice chancellors and the like can earn significantly more than the president.

No sane person would ever seek it.

One must build a shell of heat proof titanium-iron-ceramic alloy that can never be pierced and never allow any self doub. One must have an ego that takes over a room without saying a word. One must be able to say the same thing 153 times each and every day, yet make it sound unique and as though they just thought of it just now. They must risk assassination, be it social, e on omit, reputation, or actual life.

Only an egotist of incredible energy could do it.

But you are where I am - no sane person.....good reply.

But you describe the right person for the job. This kind of person, if not the president, will drive everyone around him to a state of nervousness that can't be squelched...better in the White House than in mine.

One time he was heading onto the tarmac at Andrews (or maybe Lackland) and walked towards the wrong plane. An aide tugged on his sleeve and said, "Mr. President, sir, your plane is over there."

Johnson leaned in really close so that his cigar was inches from the aide's face. He waved out at the tarmac.

"Son, them's all my planes."

Personally, I've never felt the slightest inclination to try and be Prime Minister, but obviously there are plenty of people who do want political power.
