One more mea culpa thread: I was seriously surprised no indictment was issued

That is my fault, and I should have listened more.

My only defense is that no-true-bills are so rare I literally didn't think this was a seriously possible outcome. Grand juries (when they are used) are usually just a fig leaf for a prosecutor, so that was how I read this.

I was half-right. It was a fig-leaf. Just in the opposite direction.
