Out of the car 3 seconds and a 12 year old with a toy gun shot dead. I am enraged.

Maybe this boy bulked up and morphed into a demon-possessed monster and charged the officer at 0.3-0.9 seconds, leaving the cop just a single second to assess and reduce the threat to non-life.

There s a scientific explanation silly minorities.

probably take your description literally. Sigh. Another day, another dead black child/teen. And I'm originally from Cleveland, this will not be allowed to fade away there; the people will do their utmost to ensure that even if the PTB don't.

There was no need for the cops to jump right in before assessing the situation in person.
--------
The first line of defense for cops killing kids is always that the cops were protecting themselves.
When it gets to the point that cops shoot first and ask questions later in order to protect themselves then the whole point of being a cop is inverted. The fundamental purpose of the police force is not to protect the police force.
When the cops put their own safety AHEAD of the safety of the citizens then what are we paying them for?

(iow, shooting first and CYA so they don't ask questions later) all over the place now, and getting away with it. Especially if the victim is black.

Hard to see what happened. They drove right up to him, which seems a strange thing to do if you really think he's dangerous (there's no-one else on camera, and he was sitting down before the car approached, so there's no-one who apparently needed saving). It looks as if he goes down the moment the cop on the passenger side gets out within a few feet of him.

I was an MP in the military. We were trained to never drive right up on a suspect like that. We were trained to stop several feet away from the suspect and place the car between the suspect and yourself.

protect you. They are there to collect a paycheck and free drinks at the gas station. They will kill their customers without any hesitation if feel any level of threat against them. Look at them the wrong way and you could get it too.
