I have a question about Michael Brown/Darren Wilson. Maybe somebody can help me out.

OK, so Wilson says he sees Brown walking in the middle of the road, tells him to move, and Brown allegedly mouths off at him.

Let's stop right there for a moment.

I've lived in many places, and I know two things about traffic stops. 1) in my observations, black motorists seem to be about 3 times more likely to be pulled over than white motorists and 2) if a black male is pulled over by a white officer, 9 times/10, there are at least one and sometimes as many as 3 cars that come along to provide backup. Maybe all of you will tell me "Nope - you are the only one who sees this, Algernon." But I've seen it in Florida, Maryland, Nebraska, and California.

I readily concede that traffic stops are fraught with potential peril, and I wouldn't want that job.

So back to Ferguson -- why didn't Wilson immediately call for backup when this huge, scary, demon-like (or whatever term he used) black teenager mouthed off at him?

So, before he went out or called Brown over to confront him, why didn't he wait for the backup? Algernon Moncrieff Nov 2014 #3

He had many nonlethal options and yet chose to shoot AND keep shooting until he blew Michaels Browns brains out
