The Minimum Wage Increase Passed For Chicago today

It's a slow increase that in 2019 will be $13 per hour. In June it will be $10 per hour then go up 50cents in 2016 and 2017 then it will go up $1 in 2018 and 2019.

Rahm did something right!

Still no way I'm gonna vote for him.

About $7.50 in today's money. I am not impressed a bit. It they were serious, they would say January 2015. This is just feel good nonsense.

Yes I know they are throwing a 50 cent piece here and there the next FIVE years.

Were we to start at 1960 and increase minimum wage to keep up with productivity, we'd be at $22/hour.

Into the Social Security raise. That way minimum wage workers get a raise every year. It might help get Social Security to have larger raises to so it would be double good.
