The saga of Shawn Parcells, the uncredited forensics ‘expert’ in the Michael Brown case

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-apps/imrs.php?src=&w=1484

.....an investigation by CNN that included interviews with attorneys,
law enforcement and physicians suggests Parcells isn’t the expert he seems to be . . .

CNN: So that master’s degree in New York, you have that degree?

Parcells: I will have it next month, yes.

CNN: I don’t mean the piece of paper. I mean have you been conferred that degree?

Parcells: Yes, I will. Next month.

CNN: Right now, as we speak, you have that degree?

Parcells: No, I do not.

...........

The CNN report also mentions several specific cases in which Parcells appears to have conducted autopsies on his own without a doctor present, and one bizarre case in which he may have lost a man’s brain.

I'll bet if he tried he could lose a hundred brains.

And he did the initial photographs before Dr. Baden was present, but both he and Dr. Baden were present for the actual autopsy, so I don't think it makes any difference in this particular case.

His lack of credentials were a problem in previous cases, but not this one, imo.

Am I not seeing this correctly?

If you read the whole story, you will see that this Percells guy has been passing himself off as a trained graduate of a medical school.

Pathologists interviewed by CNN say they’re concerned that a man who has no formal education in pathology is giving testimony in court that could possibly help put innocent people in jail or let guilty people go free.

The CNN report also mentions several specific cases in which Parcells appears to have conducted autopsies on his own without a doctor present, and one bizarre case in which he may have lost a man’s brain.

This DOES reflect on his supervisor, Dr. Baden, for hiring/supporting a guy who has a long record of medical fraud.

and it will cost the city/county millions when the lawsuit hits.
Not mention it is illegal to pass yourself off as a doctor when you are not one.

Any evidence that used his reports, directly or indirectly, is now tainted, both because of him and of his supervisors.

"I actually started doing autopsies my junior year in high school,” he said. “I’ve been doing this a long time. I love it.”

how did this guy get within a mile of michael brown's body?? did dr.michael baden bring him in?
