(6,366 posts)...you can be sure that no cops would be dropping flash-bangs while breaking through the front door of a home out in Bloomfield Hills. You can be sure the situation in a "white neighborhood" would have been far less adversarial from the get go and so, the odds of shooting a little white girl sleeping on the couch go way way way down - not because she's white but because she lives in the "white bubble" where everything is just a little more sane...and that little more sane adds up to everyone going home safe and sound.

(57,124 posts)most likely to get arrested for drugs, shot by police "mistakenly", sent to long prison sentences for drugs? The design may not be racist, but it certainly seems like the results are. It doesn't matter what you think the impact would be if a victim were white. The fact is like it or not, admit it or not that its highly unlikely flashbangs are set off in a middle class white neighborhood. Call it a perk of white privilege.
You certainly got it right.

(18,402 posts)Next time a cop kills a sleeping white child while storming a house during a raid that is being filmed by a television crew, you can answer that question yourself.
I think I'll be waiting a long, long, long time to hear your answer.

(62,325 posts)about. Police killings of US citizens, men, women, children, dogs, the mentally ill. All are not just tragedies, they are crimes. Crimes that are rarely prosecuted for reasons we need to find out.

(56,582 posts)If I'm reading the appeal court right, it's saying "the motion to dismiss shouldn't have been granted, but we aren't authorized to reverse it because of double jeopardy". It's awful, but at least the state seemed to recognize that...
