Driver crashes $1.2 million car less than 24 hours after picking it up

A 27-year-old driver crashed his $1.2 million McLaren P1 less than 24 hours after picking it up, the San Antonio Express-News reports.

Photos of the mangled 903-horsepower British hybrid supercar emerged on Instagram, published by user davesplace.

According to the report, the accident occurred near Dallas last week. The driver and a 24-year-old passenger were injured and transported to a nearby hospital.

The McLaren P1 has a twin-turbocharged V8 and electric motor drivetrain that can accelerate the vehicle from 0 to 60 mph in less than three seconds.

this model comes with an instant power assist button (IPAS) that will deliver 0-60 in 2.6 seconds - over 900 hp. This takes the car to F1 race performance.

I have a feeling this guy hit that button without experience as to how much power was going to be "instantly" delivered.
