The MSM and the cancer that took hold under Reagan--greed is good, worship the rich, and fight like animals for the scraps under the table--have made people think this is the only way. They hate the union guy that gets paid for overtime, vacations and benefits because they're getting screwed. They hate the poor who are getting "free lunches" and SNAP benefits for their children. They hate the unemployed, getting benefits they paid for, because their jobs were shipped overseas. They think those people are taking something away from them as they struggle with three shit jobs and a mountain of never-ending debt. It's been a great PR campaign from TPTB and it worked spectacularly, but I do believe that in the deepest hearts of most people (except for rw authoritarian followers) know that what is going on is not right in any way.

I think we need to teach the history of the labor movement: what they fought for, how and why. I think we need to teach people that ALL of the things that Senator Sanders is talking about are possible. It's not a question of paying higher taxes necessarily, it's a question of priorities. When other civilized countries can provide health care and top notch free education plus clean, safe cities with excellent mass transit and lots of green space, we look like a second world country because the only thing we provide is war and weapons.

We need to have a leader that sells a new New Deal or The Fair Deal or The Great Society. I think people need to see that Sanders fights for THEM. That it's not a question of right or left any more. It's a question of class. Education, jobs, infrastructure, health care, climate change, military spending, they've all done such a great job of convincing everyone that down is up. We have to change that somehow. And it will be very difficult because their message is slipped into all entertainment, news, and pretty much every message. People are being fed it every week at their churches. They are controlling the message in schools. People are being lied to, and unwittingly or through apathy support the very thing that is killing them and poisoning this country. I don't know how to stop it, but perhaps we need to try.

This isn't about just politics any more.

and productivity can only supply 50% the jobs needed.

If Bernie wants to be president he needs to support lowering the age of SocSec to 50.
