It took the genius of Ted Cruz to show them the way.......

For quit some time now GOP.co has been trying to convince the faithful that slower, limited and more costly internet access was both more patriotic and, after all the more christan thing to do.
Unfortunately for the RWBSFM™ this idea was not as readily accepted as if it were a forged birth certificate, the climate change hoax or the dreaded heartbreak of Benghazi. It was almost as if some glimmer of common sense in the rank and file was telling them that paying more to get less might not have been in their best interest.
Oh, how this must have frustrated the many Frank Luntz clones in the corporate government think tanks.

It took the genius of Ted Cruz to show them the way.
Proving he was worth his price Ted bravely pointed out that Net Neutrality was the evil Obamacare for the internet and that a more profitized Internet was better. Better because, well, Freedumb.
That as they say got the ball rolling.

Did you know that a Rasmussen pole taken after the "Enlightenment by Cruz" showed that 61% of the American public were against Net Neutrality.
Don't believe me. You can take the poll here for yourself.

All bolding, mine to show dog whistles and bumper stickers. And do take a moment to read the comments.

1* How closely have you followed recent news reports about so-called Internet “neutrality” issues?

2* Should the Internet remain “open” without regulation and censorship or should the Federal Communications Commission regulate the Internet like it does radio and television?

3* How concerned are you that if the FCC does gain regulatory control over the Internet it will lead to government efforts to control online content or promote a political agenda?

4* What is the best way to protect those who use the Internet—more government regulation or more free market competition?

5* How often do you go online and use the Internet?

6* (Answered by 908 American Internet Users) How would you rate the quality of your Internet service?

7* (Answered by 908 American Internet Users) How private are your Internet communications now?

8* (Answered by 908 American Internet Users) How likely is it that the government has monitored the Internet activity of you or a member of your family?

9* Is it any longer possible to guarantee that an individual’s Internet searches will remain private?

A message, thank the great Ted their is finally a message that others like The New American can spread like fertilizer to enlighten the minds of the rank and file.

Obama's “Net Neutrality” Rules: Threat to Free Speech
President Obama's November 10 announcement that he would seek the “strongest possible rules” through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to enforce "net neutrality" is a strong threat to both the freedoms of speech and press, and will throttle the progress of the Internet.
Snip.........
Just as he did to achieve passage of ObamaCare, President Obama is once again banking on the ignorance of the voters to win adoption of his “net neutrality” rules.
Snip........
The problem with such a statement is that there is nothing even approaching a monopoly on Internet access in America. Most metropolitan areas have a choice of more than one high-speed local cable television hook-up, in addition to several high-speed satellite television connections, half a dozen 4G cellphone wireless connections, and hundreds of DSL connection providers. All of them are capable of streaming high-definition video.

Yes , you see, the welfare queens in most metropolitan areas 'gots that 'free stuff' even that free Obamaphone.
Still not convinced that Net Neutrality, the way the internet works now is a bad idea and could never succeed. Let Fox News with a little help from the FCC set you straight.

FCC official warns Obama-backed net neutrality plan would bring 'immediate' Internet tax
Commissioner Mike O'Reilly addressed what's known as "net neutrality" at a Washington seminar on Friday. He spoke after Obama backed stricter rules by calling for preventing service providers from charging more for speedier service and for regulating them like telecommunications companies under a decades-old law.
That law requires telecommunications companies to pay into the FCC’s “Universal Service Fund” -- and would likely require the same of Internet companies. But O'Reilly says history clearly shows that the fees would quickly be “passed off” to customers, just like they are now on monthly phone bills.
“Consumers of these services would face an immediate increase in their Internet bills,” O'Reilly said Friday during the seminar held by the non-partisan Free State Foundation. “Let’s accept a truism: Consumers pay (the fund), not companies.

Yes you read that right, not Bill but Michael O'Rielly. Another fine graduate from the collage of the revolving door, well trained in GOP.co doublethink.

Protecting and Promoting the Open Internet, GN Docket No. 14-28.
It should come as no surprise that I cannot support today’s Notice. As I’ve said before, the
premise for imposing net neutrality rules is fundamentally flawed and rests on a faulty foundation of
make-believe statutory authority. I have serious concerns that this ill-advised item will create damaging
uncertainty and head the Commission down a slippery slope of regulation.

If you have been reading the comments in these articles you can see that the teapublican rank and file are ready to 'get on the bandwagon' and protect Freedumb by paying more to get less.
Soooooooo. When your teapublican neighbor tells how much better and less confusing the Internet will be after the pain of Obamaneautrality is repealed and their favorite websites are conveniently "bundled by their ISP just like Cabletv".........

Just tell them that Obama has signed an EO giving all of those little brown Mexican, 12 year old terrorists citizenship. Head lice and all.

That isn't true either, but they will believe it and it will rune their day.
