The raven, Corvus Corax, can be distinguished by its heavy curved beak and fan-shaped tail.

I think that what you have there is some kind of mammal; probably a housecat, felis domesticus.

Far more roosters end up as regular and extra crispy than hens...

Hens earn their keep by laying eggs, until their egg production decreases - by which time they are more fit for chicken noodle soup than frying.

Roosters, on the other hand, have very limited use beyond belly filling.

Just sayin'

Thanks for opening up your heart and home to a black critter. They don't fare well statistically.

Pardon my asking but where was she and how long was she gone?

She's beautiful and I'm glad she is home, I just don't recall why she was not home.

I have one, too, found him an a grocery store parking lot last summer. He was just a little thing, the vet said about 7 weeks, but he's growing up to be a lovely cat. My friend in rescue suggested using a red background, but I'm lucky when he holds still long enough for me to take a pic, LOL. Raven is not only beautiful, but is so very lucky to have found you! Looking forward to seeing more pix...
