But I disdain Katy Perry such to the point that one of my friends responded by saying "yes" as she pumped her fist when I lamented that she got a Katy Perry song stuck in my head.

But the Super Bowl is too much sizzle, not enough steak most years. I get that they are going for the most common denominator and I don't fit into that musically, but they go for artists I find substanceless and give performances that are at best g rated because they are terrified of having another Janet Jackson incident.

We are individuals here with individual taste. We're not part of a group mind or hive yet, that has to like what everyone else likes. Personally, to me this artist has no talent to warrant the adulation she receives and her material is just awful. Listening to her is like nails on a chalkboard. When it comes to my appreciation of talent, I hope I never get in the loop and am able to make up my own mind. If she ran for office as a liberal I'd vote for her as I'd probably like her opinions. As a musical performer, however, I think she completely sucks and wouldn't spend one dime buying her music or attending a concert..

I grew up not far from the stadium. My first thought was how did they get it so dark? It wouldn't be that dark outside the stadium in Phx at 6. Then they added city lights for the shots outside the stadium. That area of Phoenix isn't densely populated. They made it look like LA, not West Phoenix.
