8. I was talking about the 2015 World Series.

The Nats entered the 2014 postseason as the heavy favorites to win the World Series. I still think they would have won if Matt Williams hadn't pulled Zimmerman with one out to go. This year they may have an even better team.

And Buck Showalter deserves to be in a World Series. I have long felt that he is the best manager in baseball.

12. I remember watching the Washington baseball team play the Detroit Tigers back in 1971.

They were the Senators then and later moved to Texas. I had a great time in RFK stadium and so did the other 25 fans who actually showed up for the game.
