Katy Perry had a clear game plan for the Pepsi Super Bowl 49 Halftime Show. It can be summed up in one world:

"Roar."

The multiplatinum pop star stuck to the plan throughout the seven-song set on Sunday at Phoenix Stadium in Arizona. There wasn't a single subtle moment to be found. Instead, Perry's performance was big, bold and utterly appropriate for an event of magnitude.

The 30-year-old California native kicked off the show in impressive fashion, appearing before our eyes atop a giant golden tiger. She held tight to the reins and belted out the hit single "Roar" as the mechanical beast, with the glowing red eyes, carried the multiplatinum pop star across the playing field.

NOT!

Lenny was on stage 15 or 20 seconds and only sang harmony on one of Katy's songs (didn't hear any of his songs).

Missy Elliot was on stage for 3 of her own songs.

I was so looking forward to seeing and hearing Lenny. Major disappointment.
