(60,010 posts)Turns out, Mr. Dixie has an even worse head for dates than I do, so when challenged to come up with a "ballpark" anniversary date, he chose...

(7,107 posts)The tourists are mostly further south in the state, the weather is great for outside exercising, camping is perfect with few bugs and cool nights, north winds flatten the Gulf out along the coast making for nice boating/sailing.
Way to go Phil!

(21,794 posts)We're midway between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox.
Six more weeks until spring, but already, we are getting more daylight (it becomes more obvious by now)
Hang in there and be safe.

Patti Yunker is fed up with being lied to, especially by a groundhog.
Groundhog Day predictions never seem to pan out, so Yunker is starting a new tradition this year, and it could spell trouble for the furry rodents.
On Monday, Yunker will be serving up "ground hog" at her Exquisite Corpse Coffee House and Gold Rodent Gallery, 410 Water St. in downtown Port Huron.
"We're eating the lying little rodent. He's going to be served from 6 p.m. on," Yunker said.
She said Port Huron could become known as the town that eats its groundhog if the event, the Loretta Desmond Groundhog Festivus, is a hit. The origin of the event's name is a bit of a mystery, and one Yunker said would unfold over the coming days.
