Scientifically and statistically, what alternative do you recommend for reducing the chances of getting a Measles case that causes permanent disability to a child...
...what alternative to vaccination is more effective?
Just let us know what is more effective statistically at reducing the chances of measles, and therefore its disabling complications, than the vaccine.
Let's "science" this. We're all ears.
*(Mumps Measles Rubella vaccine, live (MMR-II) or Mumps Measles Rubella and varicella virus vaccine (Proquad) )

(22,239 posts)Tobias has endured chickenpox and whooping cough, though Ms. McMenimen said the latter seemed more like a common cold. She considered a tetanus shot after he cut himself on a wire fence but decided against it: He has such a strong immune system.
I wonder if she'll feel the same way if Tobias get visited by Rocky the bitey Raccoon? After all, a strong immune system should be able to handle those pesky little rabies germs.

In other words, they live in a bubble that doesn't reflect reality, they think their luck was the standard, when it was the outlier.
