A question for those opposed to Measles* Vaccination

Scientifically and statistically, what alternative do you recommend for reducing the chances of getting a Measles case that causes permanent disability to a child...

...what alternative to vaccination is more effective?

Just let us know what is more effective statistically at reducing the chances of measles, and therefore its disabling complications, than the vaccine.

Let's "science" this. We're all ears.

*(Mumps Measles Rubella vaccine, live (MMR-II) or Mumps Measles Rubella and varicella virus vaccine (Proquad) )

Next time you think you're so sure that something doesn't exist at DU, I urge you to actually find out first.

They are not only here, they've been posting regularly in the past few days and weeks.

Use a long range method of killing, like a firearm, so they can't infect you during "the cleansing."

9. Having a "strong immune system" is all you really need according to that lady in the article.

Tobias has endured chickenpox and whooping cough, though Ms. McMenimen said the latter seemed more like a common cold. She considered a tetanus shot after he cut himself on a wire fence but decided against it: “He has such a strong immune system.”

I wonder if she'll feel the same way if Tobias get visited by Rocky the bitey Raccoon? After all, a strong immune system should be able to handle those pesky little rabies germs.

just like how they survived without seat belts in cars, or something.

In other words, they live in a bubble that doesn't reflect reality, they think their luck was the standard, when it was the outlier.

but everyone I knew back then got all their shots and vaccines. There wasn't any rushing to shove your kid off on another mom so you would catch whatever that kid had. We got some shots free at school, and the doctor gave us the rest.

Sadly, getting slapped by reality is about the only way people rid themselves of self-delusion.
