Earlier, Ashleigh Banfield pondered if parents who don't get kids vaxed should be prosecuted...

... for all of the damages and illnesses caused to those who do vaccinate. Panel discussed the pros and cons of prosecution and parental rights, banning from public schools, etc.. They all agreed pretty much that some entity should be held accountable/liable for illnesses caused by unvaccinated children.

Ummm, Ashleigh, if others are vaccinated then they won't get measles. Oh ... never mind.

Fear mongering is her specialty.

The whole nation needs to be pitted against these criminally negligent assholes.

The only people getting measles are those who aren't getting vaxed.

No vaccine is 100% effective and a percentage will not have immunity after proper vaccination regimens.

Even the smallpox vaccines were not 100% effective, yet smallpox was eradicated from the wild.

Google "herd immunity" for more information.

There are people here who call non-vaxxers child abusers, and want the authorities to take the children away and allow them no contact forever after.

And now it's out there in the mainstream media. Do people like that understand that it just confirms all the worst fears of the RWNJs?

Fines, money away from the kids. Jail-term? Maybe put into state custody & if it is like the Army, makes sure they have the all their shots but PTSD is a common symptom for those who grew up in foster care & a lot of the abuses go unreported.

I always think of the real world consequences for many policies. McCain was behind a big push for the "danged fence" & more border patrol where the fence was a defeated by a catapult, existing tunnels, etc & cartels had little trouble finding border patrol agents to bribe because shortcuts were taken to hire, train, & deploy more border patrol agents to the border.

There is a small percentage of those who are vaccinated who would still catch the disease because they are not immune.

By reaching vaccination levels that would produce herd immunity, those people would also be protected.

No vaccine is 100% effective. Even the smallpox vaccine wasn't, and we successfully eradicated smallpox using that vaccine.

She has a history of making controversial statements as a poor attempt to get ratings for the number 3 cable "news" network.
