'If I were President Obama, I'd start throwing daily press conferences'

In response to no-hands-washing Sen. Thom Tillis, "Teabaggerism taken to its logical extreme," Paul Constant of The Stranger writes:

If I were President Obama, I'd start throwing daily press conferences. At today's press conference, for example, I'd say, "Guys, I was just thinking about how important it is that everyone wears their seat belts. It's a really important law, and I endorse it one hundred percent." Republicans would then fall over themselves trying to argue why seat belts shouldn't be mandatory.

Then, tomorrow, I'd hold another press conference. "You know," I'd say, "I know I smoked for many years, so you might not expect me to say this, but I'm really glad we have a system of laws in place that keep cigarettes out of the hands of kids. If anything, I'd like to make those laws stronger." You'd probably get some great video after that of Rand Paul arguing that 10-year-olds should be allowed to choose between Marlboro and Camel cigarettes because it's in the Constitution. The next day, I'd talk about anti-asbestos laws.

Then, I'd talk about laws that keep brothers and sisters from marrying. And so on.

Sexual abuse of an animal is not acceptable in modern society.

I fully support the FDA. I support mandatory food inspection it has clearly saved many lives.

I fully support local water and sewer authorities. Mandatory use of clean water and proper disposal of sewer is a great government program that has saved many lives

Yep he could go on every day and drive repukes crazy. Oh wait they are crazy already.

I fully support mandatory car inspections.
I fully support building regulations.
I fully support education.

Could be a lot of fun.

I think our roads and bridges are acceptable the way they are. Once in awhile, a bridge may fail, but really, relatively few of our minion millions are injured or killed in such an incident. Staying focused on lowering the debt is something that affects everybody - fixing a bridge only benefits a few.

And the the Republicans did a collective dead faint because, The President Of The United States, dared to address our school children.

( Republicans are a bunch of contemptuous psychopaths)

Republicans seem to have a way of displaying revulsion and disgust so authentically the whole county recoiled in reaction. Isn't that what they practice? Reactionary politics?

He should address our school kids everyday he feels like it. Yeah, and all the rest of us too.

Gobama!

I love our Prez.
