By then already a preacher and speaker, Huckabee had some opinions about dancing:
I strongly recommend that Christian teens stay away from dancing, mainly because some people would just not be able to respect a person who attended dances.

As a kid I had some Baptist neighbors who couldn't play cards.

Couldn't encourage them to gamble, you know.
You'd think I'd never forget, but now I can't remember how we managed to play the game.
