A Timeline of American Mass Media and Jordan Trolling by ISIS.
December 24, 2014 - Jordanian Royal Air Force pilot captured by ISIS after his F-16 crashes
December 25, 2014 - King Abdullah, a living reincarnation of Muhammed, to some, tries to make nice with the captors and begins negotiations with ISIS while holding fire on harsh criticism. Pleading videos of the shocked relatives of the downed pilot are run continuously by State run media in Jordan.
January 3 - Lt. El-Kassebeh is executed in a staged production filmed by ISIS Productions Company.
No one seems to know except ISIS. So it seems.
Between December 25 and January 31 - remember negotiations purportedly continue between Jordan and ISIS, even as the pilot is dead. Recall how American media spread the other videos of ISIS with wild abandon and then were puzzled why ISIS was so effective in recruiting....duh?
February 1 - ISIS Productions Company releases 23 minute high production value movie of the
January 3 execution tailor made over a month of toiling and editing, for Western audiences and for further recruitment and propaganda mixed in with a Fox like fake news studio. No doubt expecting it to be a blockbuster hit, played endlessly in the West, as all its other videos were.
Video release, in full, is first forwarded by Fox mere hours before King Abdullah was scheduled to meet with President Obama.
February 1, later: Jordan quickly announces it accepts death of the pilot was on January 3. King Abdullah scrambles back to his palace. The negotiations were revealed to be a ploy by ISIS to keep the issue of the pilots release and negotiations in the Western news media and to spread it's propaganda some more - and the King of Jordan fell for it. Best case scenario.
......
OPINION: Jordan appears to have fallen into an ISIS propaganda trap, and thanks to the reliability of MSM and Western media to immediately air all ISIS videos they remained in the trap. ISIS surely salivated over the prospect of more free publicity for recruitment in the West, while also stirring up trouble in Jordan.
The Western media got trolled by ISIS, and now rather than admit it they are finally doing the right thing. They will likely never show an ISIS video again.
Except for Fox. Of course. They are probably looking to hire those ISIS movie guys.
P.S. To burn a body and leaving nothing for the family to bury is the ultimate insult as a form of death to Islam.
ISIS just declared openly it has nothing to do with Islam.

If so....WTF is Fox doing? They must of known about the meeting..and released it hours before.....the plot thickens with strong circumstantial evidence worthy of further investigstion that the mass media will never do.

Let's not forget that ISIS still gets most of its funding from the Saudis and Qatar, with which the west has a love-hate relationship. That ambivalence is now trending toward active hatred.

(23,946 posts)There is NOT overwhelming support to strike back at ISIS in Jordan, there is considerable dissension but the media is state owned and controlled in Jordan.
Jordan is Egypt is Qatar is Saudi, dictatorships. Absolute dictatorships, information from them is propaganda by definition.
The Western media is still spinning this...a deflection.

ISIS refusing to give even an iota of evidence the pilot was alive after January 3 should have been a clue as to his fate....and the execution site is like a 2 hour drive from Jordan.

(269,157 posts)two Japanese,it is even worse.
It also suggests that the supposed protests in Jordan were well orchestrated.

(23,946 posts)The "protests" in Jordan were produced by Jordan state media, mostly rather sharply dressed folk.

(36,418 posts)The execution was ISIS propaganda, to which western governments respond in their own way, in their own time.
If that meant delaying release of a video, that should be no real surprise. Considering all that has been leading up to this, a singular murder (no matter how horribly inflicted) is nothing compared to the quarter million dead so far in the Syrian proxy war.
