"85% of Republican voters in Tennessee oppose 'Obamacare,' but just 16% oppose 'Insure Tennessee.'"

I found the NBC News article from a friend's twitter, In Rebuke of Tennessee Governor, Koch Group Shows Its Power. Once again, more proof of red staters who are unaware of their economic interests:

...(TN Gov. Bill) Haslam's allies circulated a polling memo to GOP state legislators this week, written by the firm of longtime national GOP pollster Whit Ayres, showing that 85 percent of Republican voters in Tennessee oppose "Obamacare," but just 16 percent oppose "Insure Tennessee." The memo was blunt about its audience, including a line about "Republican members of the State Legislature pondering the political consequences in a Republican primary of supporting the Governor's plan."

Insure Tennessee was Haslam's proposal for Tennessee to get $1bn in Medicaid funding under the Affordable Care Act. Unfortunately, thanks to an attack campaign by Americans for Prosperity alerting Tennesseans that Insure Tennessee was Obamacare, Haslam's bill died in committee.

Still, the results of this poll remind me of the Kentucky man quoted as saying "This beats Obamacare, I hope," in a Huffington Post story of a state fair booth pitching Kynect, the Kentucky health insurance exchange...established by ACA. Lots of people out there who negatively associate words like Obama/Democrat/liberal because of Fox News/talk radio/The Blaze/etc. but happen to support left wing policies.
