Tony Dorsett on CTE: I had no idea 'the end was going to be like this'

http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/tony-dorsett-on-cte-i-had-no-idea-the-end-was-going-to-be-like-this/ar-AA9akbv

Hall of Fame running back Tony Dorsett was diagnosed with having signs of chronic traumatic encephalopathy in November 2013. It's been an uphill battle since then, but he has a lot of fight left.

"I'm in the fight, man," Dorsett told 1310 The Ticket in Dallas, according to ESPN.com. "I'm not just laying around letting this overtake me. I'm fighting. I'm in the battle. I'm hoping we can reverse this thing somehow."

CTE is a progressive degenerative disease of the brain caused by repetitive head trauma. Symptoms include memory loss, impaired judgment, aggressive behavior, depression and dementia.

"It's very frustrating at times for me," Dorsett said. "I've got a good team of people around me, my wife and kids, who work with me. When you've been in this town for so long and I have to go to some place I've been going to for many, many, many years, and then all of a sudden I forget how to get there. Those things are frustrating when it comes to those things.

while walking through the parking lot to my wifes' oncologist yesterday we were talking about how it would feel to have cancer and be homeless and alone in this country.

The good team of people go away at that point and the end is a lot worse.

Mr. Dorsett is a very lucky man.
