Enjoy your hearts, but WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE SOON

I had completely forgotten to be afraid of the existential threat to the US posed by the Khorasan Group.

Last September, no one had heard of the Khorasan Group (although some had heard of a region by that name, from which this group presumably took its name). Then there was a flurry of articles about this group, about how they're more dangerous than ISIS (Clapper), even though they only consist of 50 or so members. We were told that an attack on an airliner was imminent, that an attack on "the homeland" (puke) was imminent, and then we were told maybe the attacks weren't so imminent. Glenn Greenwald questioned the existence of the Khorasan Group, and as you'd expect, he was roundly criticized in some circles.

But if you look up Khorasan Group in a Google News search, you'll see articles from September and October, then a couple from November, and now, nothing.

Moral of the story? Draw your own conclusions, but many of us knew with dead certainty we were being propagandized last September. On the other hand, some of us here bought the story hook/line/sinker. Maybe the lesson is, be careful what you believe, no matter who the information comes from.

I thought this was going to be about anti-vaxxers. Or maybe Kanye.

If you and other Americans will come together, we can start a new 30-year war on terror and defeat these 50 guys.

But yes, I'd think Legal Zoom will do in a pinch. Make sure your beneficiaries aren't in the Western Hemisphere though. They're coming for ALL of us.

And all over the blogosphere (and DU) you'll still find "many people" who say ISIS are a CIA front, or that Russia never invaded Ukraine...Your point?

Show me more links about this shadowy group and what they've been up to in recent months.

Are you going on record as saying you believe that there's an entity called The Khorasan Group, consisting of roughly 50 people, who are as dangerous or more dangerous than ISIS, and present an existential threat to the West?

7. Are you saying that no such organization as the Khorasan Group exists?

And that despite any number of legit reasons for a targeted bombing attack in Syria (Assad's forces, ISIS, al-Nusra) Washington had to invent a justification for bombing?

Just trying to set the ground rules before I start searching...

It's been a propaganda circus in the U.S.A. mass media ever since there was a "mass media," but now the bad players are getting all scientific about it.

Maybe 40% of the people in the USA are morons who will believe whatever "news" they see on their TV machines.

And a large percentage of potential voters are excluded, alienated, unregistered, or afraid to take time off work on Tuesday to vote.

Not to mention gerrymandering...

How can we change that?

See Putin and ISIS for the latest versions of hairy, scary, bogeymen that pose a threat to the "Home of brave(?)".
