The U.K. Is Making Rules for Driverless Cars.

It's all part of an ambitious, nationwide program to put self-driving cars on the road

The United Kingdom is paving the road for driverless cars by reviewing road regulations and launching autonomous driving trials across the country.

By the spring, the government will publish guidelines that will allow the testing of driverless cars to begin in the country, BBC reports. A full review of current legislation will be completed by the summer of 2017. The effort will involve rewriting highway regulations to take into account the effect of automated vehicles on traffic.

I wonder how the computer is going to handle which side of the road to drive on, if they go through the chunnel.

Don't get me wrong, I love to get behind the wheel and motor across this country. I love the feel of the road and having control of the beast. But, when I get old, and they want to take my drivers license away, this might just keep me on the road a little longer. So bring on the driverless car.

is working with a company that is making driver less all electric taxis. Pick up, deliver and pay all from a phone app. The cars will work 24/7 and when the car needs a charge it just finds the nearest charging station and charge it's self. They even have a driver less tow truck to bring back broken down taxis.

Image every state will have to chance every license, insurance, and voting laws.

Can you image the millions floating around in state capitals back rooms. This could be seen as a whole new industry, become a driverless car lobbyist.
