RTFORD — About 50 reporters, camera operators, editors and anchors at the FOX CT television station will vote Wednesday on whether to join the National Association of Broadcast Employees and Technicians, a division of the Communications Workers of America.

In 2003, a vote at the station to join the same union failed by one vote.

The union already represents workers at WFSB-TV in Rocky Hill and WTNH-TV in New Haven, said Carrie Biggs-Adams, a union staff member in Washington. At WVIT-TV in West Hartford, a different union represents technical workers. At all three stations, on-air talent is represented by the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.

In Connecticut, Fox has the only local newsroom that is not unionized.
