but Boston is expecting nearly double the snowfall that Wisconsin usually sees. It is massive by any standard.

drifts are higher, of course. Walking in narrow-cut paths is getting old.

But there is hope! It was bright this morning, the snow was not squeaking, everything in my car clicked properly, and most of our driveway's blacktop is visible.

I would be so overwhelmed if I was trying to deal with all of that.

It's really cold here in KC today. Everyone tries to cheer themselves up by saying "At least we aren't in Boston."

Here in the Pacific NW we are experiencing Spring about 6 weeks early. This has many devastating effects, including, for us in the inland, huge increase in fire danger come this Summer.

Also, my new college grad daughter has been enjoying one of those great jobs one experiences at this time in her life - operating a chairlift at our local ski area. They are now only open on weekends due to lack of snow, so she's feeling a bit rudderless. Her Summer job is with the Forest Service, so I expect she'll be getting some overtime, with lots of fire activity expected ...

I live in CT, which hasn't been hit as hard as other parts of New England, and it's still insane. So over this winter. LOL
