Behold: Bacon-Wrapped Pizza

Little Caesars is known for its $5 pizza, Cinnamon Crazy Bread and otherwise average menu, but it's about to make a big name for itself with its new Bacon-Wrapped Crust Deep! Deep! Dish Pizza.

Smothered in cheese, topped with pepperoni and coated in 3 1/2 feet of bacon, this dish is every kid's dream and every parent's worst nightmare.

The creation, which also comes with caramelized cheese edges and bacon baked into the pie, looks like it would contain more calories than most are supposed to consume in one week.

It goes on sale Monday, February 23 for $12, and will be available for a limited time until late April. We're not quite sure what will happen when we try it, but as one Little Caesars executive said, "In Bacon We Crust!

That being said, I've only had it once since they changed to the McCafe style. I prefer the original formulation in the white cup like they had in my youth.

Mostly I feed myself, though my wife is allowed, and friends.

Stopped drinking and stopped stressing myself out..

Lost 50 pounds, restored the use of my body, it still old but it works, and for 69 I feel pretty good and sharp as a tack, but lazy. So yeah.

When I started I weighed 245, had gout and allergies. Now I'm 195, no gout for two years now, and figure I'll do some backpacking this year. Stopped taking antihistamines altogether, where I was dependent.

I know, testimonials are not science. But my results were very empirical.

You might be right, but I think they just like to have someone to screw so they can know they are better.

As long as you do it rarely and in moderation it really isn't that bad for you, especially if you make it from scratch. I still have a pizza recipe cookbook from the early/mid 90's with all types of different dough, sauce, and topping recipes as well as several variations on the pizza.

With today's high speed internet and the increased availability of healthier ingredients such as decent vegan cheese that melts I'm sure you could find or create a recipe that would meet your standards. If made properly and thoughtfully, pizza can be healthy.

Whole wheat crust too. It was amazing. No vegan cheese though as I'm not a vegan.

But this bacon pizza sounds nasty and would make me throw up (I'm allergic to nitrates, which are in the bacon and pepperoni).

It would be like a thin crust pizza and perfect for those who are on a low carb diet. And for the people who are health conscience or Jewish like me, use Turkey bacon. Well lets be honest there is nothing healthier about Turkey bacon but it makes some feel better.

I realize this is from HuffPo, but it reads like it was written by a Little Caesars marketing executive.

"...about to make a big name for itself..."

"...smothered in cheese..."

"every kid's dream"

"coated in 3 1/2 feet of bacon" ...which, if laid end-to-end is what, about 6 or 7 pieces of bacon?

Is my absolute favorite pizza, but I'll pass on the bacon crust. Maybe something is wrong with me, but I'm just not a big fan of bacon and ham. Grilled pork chops, on the other hand, are right up my alley!

I'd love to find a place in my neighborhood that serves up woodfired pizza, with the type of crust you find in Italy, with the type of cheese you find in Italy, with the type of spicy tomato sauce you find in Italy, and with the tasty olive oil they they put on top.

A few nights ago I tried a Round Table take out pizza. They charged me $17 for a small medium pizza that was barely edible and really no better than Lil Caesar. Where is the wonderful pizza I used to eat almost every other day when I lived in Europe?
