Iranian Parliament Speaker: ‘What the U.S. Congress did was really amateurish'

<...>

“We don’t have problems like those in the United States,” he said, slamming the letter 47 Republican senators sent to Iranian leaders last week warning that any deal would constitute nothing more than an executive agreement with President Barack Obama, subject to expire upon his leaving office in 2017.

What the U.S. Congress did was really amateurish,” Larijani said. “Even their political experts denounced them because they undermined their own integrity. We are not going to copy their mistake.”

Talks continued Monday between Secretary of State John Kerry and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, with a late-March deadline for a framework agreement looming.

He has not accepted this was a bad thing to happen, he needs to get in control of his party members and never allow something like this to happen again. He is supposed to be the Majority Leader, he needs to lead.
