Yelp Users Troll Indiana Pizzeria That Refuses To Cater Gay Weddings

-snip-

Ciritics of Indiana's anti-gay "religious freedom" bill flooded an Indiana pizzeria's Yelp page with negative reviews Wednesday after its owners reportedly said they would never cater a same-sex wedding.

Backlash to O'Connor's comments was swift on the pizzeria's Yelp page, where users uploaded photos of nude or scantily clad men. Users from all over the world who had never visited the establishment, as well as a few locals who had, also criticized the restaurant's food and the owner's attitude.

"Worst pizza I have ever had regardless of the side of bigotry that comes along with it," a user from Granger, Ind. wrote in a review.

"Never have been to your establishment and now never will," another user from Minneapolis wrote. "I hope your blatant example of discrimination closes your doors for good. Shame on you."

"Even outside of this issue, the pizza and service SUCKS!" a user from Crown Point, Ind. wrote.

Later in the article the owner said they would have no problem serving pizza to gay patrons just not cater a gay wedding.

Seriously, what stupidity. How many couples, gay or straight, hire a pizzeria to cater their wedding? And how stupid was it to go out there publically and show your bigotry for the world to see. Most other business owners who enjoying their right to be bigot have been smart enought to not mention their place of business when talking to the public because they know of the backlash (best to keep their businesses hidden under those 'white robes & hoods').

If you're going to hate the best thing to do is keep your mouth shut about it in hopes that your business will survive long enough until you wake up and get a clue that hate is not a smart business plan.

They got a big boost in business from fundies out to "support" them. This business owner may be hoping for the same.

Chic-Fil-a is a chain. It was easy for the bigots to go and support them. There are going to be many individual small locations involved in this. Many relied on the local patronage than they have now driven away. There aren't enough homophobes nearby to keep all of these establishments in business.

Chic-Fil-a made a staggering $2.85 million in 2014, Its average per-store grosses were $3.18 million in 2012. The big boost was temporary.

And that temporary boost for Chic-Fil-a was very visible, while the later decrease in business was not visible.

All I'm saying is they could be morons instead of bigots.

Overall their numbers are still down. These religious fundies would have to eat there almost everyday to make-up for the rest of us not dining there.

I'm just reading for the comments from men stating that - 'First - Gays would NEVER have pizza at their wedding!'

They are schooling their loser asses haaaaaaaaaard!

Oh yeah - and about that - haaaard! Hence why not safe for work. I'm sorry but it's so depressing and vile what that woman (the owner) said . . .

She has it coming. She wants to be mean?

She's getting laughter back in return.

I'm even okay with the comments about her teeth.

And a guy holding up a box of barilla in front of his face - and wearing speedos.

And a guy puking from the food.

And all kinds of shenanigans and obnoxious behavior.

I wonder if they took down their Yelp or had Yelp do it for them? Or if Yelp said, "Yelp! They're out of control" and so they temporarily took it offline.

I placed an order for Last Supper lasagna with Judas rolls, and the Puritan Pork pizza with Crucifixion crust....and when I went to pick it I was amazed that they had absolutely NO PROBLEM with my menstruation, short hair cut, or tattoos!!! Thankfully they didn't ask if I was a virgin when I married.....THAT could have been a game changer!

and

I really have to give the owner 5 stars for having the insanely audacious idea that any self-respecting gay person would order her pizza for their wedding. Prosciutto, manchego, and roasted fig flat-bread with a reduced balsamic drizzled artistically on top, maybe. But her slop? LOL

Apparently hate and delusions of grandeur are a perfect marriage!
