Fox News host Chris Wallace on Sunday pointed out to conservative author Peter Schweizer that his new book failed to connect the dots between speaking fees earned by former President Bill Clinton and policies supported by Hillary Clinton while she served as secretary of state.
........
Its not just the State Department, Wallace explained. Its nine separate agencies
There is no hard evidence and you dont cite any in the book that Hillary Clinton took direct action, was involved in any way in approving, as one nine agencies, the sale of the company.
Schweizer argued that any one of those agencies had veto power so she could have stopped the deal.
You dont have a single piece of evidence that she was involved in this deal, that she sent a memo to the State Department person that was on this committee and said, Hey, we want to approve the uranium sale,' Wallace pressed.

(99,710 posts)Let me repeat that....The White House vetted all of Bill Clinton's speeches while his wife was Secretary Of State and the one time he was asked not to make a speech and take the money he didn't.

(31,849 posts)They were talking about an instance where HRC was opposed to the permitting of a mine (or something?) when she was a Senator; but, approved it as SoS ... and Bill got a speaking gig.
Then, one of the talkers read the passage from the book ... I had to laugh when between the approval part and the Bill getting the speaking gig part, the talker literally lowered their voice, almost to a whisper, and said, that her change in opinion came after the Administration came out strongly for the permitting.

* For those too young to remember, Wallace worked many years at NBC and even did stints as the weekend anchor. For those who are really too young to remember, NBC used to be a real news outlet.
