(31,110 posts)This might flood all of the secret FEMA tunnels under the WalMarts and foil Obama's plans to take over Texas.

(24,853 posts)If there were any Democrats harmed, I'd feel for them.
Good thing no Democrats live in Texas, Huh?

(5,213 posts)it is mocking the hypocritical, wholly-owned Republican Texas Government. Which is eminently mockable.

(4,788 posts)there was a petition on the White House page to let Texas secede that got more that 25,000 signatures. The White House had said it would respond to any petition that got more that 25,000 signatures within 30 days. I know this article is from Fox, but it does sum up the situation well:
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/01/14/white-house-responds-to-secession-petition-says-texas-doesnt-have-right-to/
That was a few years ago. There may be another push on now that I'm not aware of.

(5,213 posts)You know, my hope is that America and Washington in particular pays attention. Weve got a great union. There is absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, you know, who knows what may come out of that? Gov. Rick Perry
"When we came into the nation in 1845, we were a republic. We were a stand-alone nation. And one of the deals was, we can leave any time we want.
So we're kind of thinking about that again." Gov. Rick Perry
But you are intent on confusing the mocking of the Republican mindset of hating government until they need it with mocking of people in need and nothing we say is going to change that. Carry on.

(1,536 posts)As they are so fond of telling everybody else, they just need to hold a couple of spaghetti dinners at local churches and a bake sale or two. That should cover it.

(9,895 posts)The flood was PLANNED as part of the Jade Helm take over of Texas...right now, at this exact moment, 100's of Constitution supporting, gun loving, law abiding Christian Texans are being herded into flooded abandoned Wal-Marts and drowned for fun by the socialist anti-colonial dark man.
(I'm pretty sure that doesn't need a "sarcasm" icon...but if you think its meant on the level, call 1-888-555-HELP!)

(26,614 posts)After all, we pretty much can quit blaming climate change for drought, because, rain! No mention that none of this is "normal." These are the kinds of weather disasters that will become common. All weather is now the result of man made global warming. Some will benefit, but most will not.
See, Texas, lots of water for fracking, so it's all good. God's hand in the Bible belt!
