I have given this one liner a lot of thought since it just doesn't seem to make sense. So for instance back to a certain time in history? As the examples above show, that isn't necessarily hunky dory with many women. Back to a different time...then why not specify that presumed era to which we go back to, so that the voter can make an informed choice?

I think they don't actually mean back in time. I think what they really mean is to take something back something, that someone else took from them. What in the world could that be? A car, the vote, some law...or the Whitehouse? I'd bet it's the Whitehouse. They want to take it back from that black man and from Dem residency. Is that some stupid platform or what!

If Santorum wins the election, he, a Republican would get to reside in the Whitehouse. But taking back the Whitehouse doesn't come just by saying they want it back...they should have a platform, values and policies that inspires the voters to vote them into the Whitehouse.

Thus they have a dilemma. They want to take back the symbol of America...the Whitehouse...by whining in a petulant childish manner, which is unlikley to really work in the long run. The R's really have no clue how to get there other than to say they want it.

As someone so eloquently said yesterday, on a totally unrelated subject, "Yuck".

"happily" accepted their supportive roles in life.

Ahh, the good ol' days. Women, if the worked outside the home, got to choose between being teachers, nurses or secretaries. Minorities did not even have those choices.

Yeah, Rick. Let's take American back! Back to when white men had it all.
