Kansas legislature now threatening to shut down all state universities,

saying they can become private. Even Brownback wants to raise taxes to save the universities, but the state congressional teabaggers refuse, and they have the majority. Brownback reportedly started crying as he tried to reason with the lunatics. Can't believe anybody is crazier than Brownback, but yeah, some here are.

I'm speechless.

No affordable higher education seems to be the way
they're going, and much of the country will follow
if the Kochs keep bulldozing their way through the
states.

The insanity here is fluid. We can hardly believe what we read in the newspapers every day.

I'd like to see the reaction to THAT.

Wichita State too.

But the congressional teabags are totally out of control. I don't think they even care at this point.

were sales tax and taxes on cigarettes.

He was not serious about raising taxes or he would

have raised them on the wealthy.

Sales tax increases affect the poor to a much greater degree.

I think the middle class and the poor have paid more then their fair share.

Until this country holds accountable those whose crashed the global

economy nothing will change.
