NAACP Imposter Sued School Over Race Claims

Let's start by saying this: Suing Howard University in the African-American community is like Suing Yale, Harvard, Berkeley or Northwestern in the Caucasian community. In other words: One better have a darn good case for doing so.

It's not that anyone of these schools can't be sued - as that is another matter entirely.

However, to sue a Historical Black College & University (especially one that is so HIGHLY REGARDED in the African-American community as Howard U) due to discrimination for ones' "Whiteness" and later claim you're "Black" takes the Rachel's Ruse story to another level.

Beyond mental illness, beyond "feeling sorry" beyond any false claims of being "Trans-racial" to the conning nature of what it is.

From the Smoking Gun:

"JUNE 15--The NAACP official who today resigned in the face of evidence that she masqueraded as black once sued Howard University for denying her teaching posts and a scholarship because she was a white woman, The Smoking Gun has learned.

Rachel Dolezal, 37, who headed the NAACP’s Spokane, Washington chapter, sued Howard for discrimination in 2002, the year she graduated from the historically black college with a Master of Fine Arts degree.

Dolezal, then known as Rachel Moore, named the university and Professor Alfred Smith as defendants in a lawsuit filed in Washington, D.C.’s Superior Court. During the pendency of the civil case, Smith was chairman of Howard’s Department of Art.

According to a Court of Appeals opinion, Dolezal's lawsuit “claimed discrimination based on race, pregnancy, family responsibilities and gender.” She alleged that Smith and other school officials improperly blocked her appointment to a teaching assistant post, rejected her application for a post-graduate instructorship, and denied her scholarship aid while she was a student.

The court opinion also noted that Dolezal claimed that the university’s decision to remove some of her artworks from a February 2001 student exhibition was “motivated by a discriminatory purpose to favor African-American students over” her.

As detailed in the court opinion, Dolezal’s lawsuit contended that Howard was “permeated with discriminatory intimidation, ridicule, and insult.”

Judge Zoe Bush dismissed Dolezal’s complaint in February 2004, 18 months after the lawsuit was filed and Dolezal was deposed on several occasions. Bush found no evidence that Dolezal was discriminated on the basis of race or other factors. The D.C. Court of Appeals subsequently affirmed Bush’s decision.

Following the dismissal of Dolezal’s lawsuit (and the Court of Appeals decision), she was ordered to reimburse Howard for a “Bill of Costs” totaling $2728.50. During the case, she was also ordered to pay the university nearly $1000 in connection with an “obstructive and vexatious” court filing that sought to improperly delay her examination by an independent doctor.

Dolezal’s lawsuit, included “claims for medical and emotional distress damages,” according to a court docket."

She has pribably needed it for a long time and it spun out of control like this. Plagiarizing artwork, faking race, suing everybody..

But first, Rachel needs to also resign from teaching students at any public or private college or university -- as this along with all the other claims, faux hate mail, faux nooses, faux letters, a tan to be "Black", the curly perms or wigs, suing a #HCBU on what was frivolous and possibly the plagiarized art works -- she needs to step back and fix herself, period.

And this is coming from an adjunct community college instructor (not currently teaching but have taught in the recent past).

And she needs to take a sabbatical. Or maybe just stop teaching until she is well and stable. This looks terrible for her. She may need to think about a new prifession and a name change. After she gets help.

I've been wondering if she was going to lose her job teaching Africana Studies, since I would assume she presented herself under false pretenses wherever that is as well. If I were one of her students, I'd certainly be asking myself whether I got full value in courses on black 'lived experience' that were taught by someone who lived as a white person for their first 37 years, and only pretended to be black the last 3. Might even be asking the school for a refund for those courses.

Did you see her holding that book 'How to be black'? Omg. I cannot take much more of her. That woman is amazing. In the strangest ways possible.

While all this person had to do is Be Who She Was. Why the ruse? Why the lies? Why the many Lies? Why take away opportunities for the community you claim to "love and admire" for yourself? And worst, why did you sue Howard University a HBCU friviously and think it would not bite you in the buttocks someday -- after lying about your race?

The more details we get the more stumped I am trying to figure this woman out. I think she has an enormous ego. Huge. And she is quite litigious, isn't she? Just sues every damn body. I cannot believe she sued for reverse racism and then went on to be black to sue for regular racism. This lady trips me out. I keep trying not to laugh, but then I do it anyway, then I feel guilty cause it's not funny, it's fucked up.

most of the time it's applied to black people who dare to note the lack of racial equality in this country.
