Michigan Church performs gay weddings

There's an Episcopal Minister in a Port Huron church who performs gay marriages. There was a big article ad in today's holiday news paper that said gays are welcome there.

The name of our paper is Port Huron Times Herald. Don't have time to look for a link, but if you're interested, will look up phone number, etc.

I'm not sure of how marriages are done. I know you need a license - does it have to be Michigan or any other state - I do not know, don't have a clue.

This isn't news to me, and I suspect to a lot of people. The Episcopal Church has generally been very welcoming to gays, on the whole and will perform gay marriages, although there are conservative parishes who won't. ECUSA had its triennial General Convention recently and voted to allow gay marriages in its parishes across the country (but conservative parishes won't be forced to). Until now it's been a diocese by diocese thing.
