Don't fall for the good cop/ bad cop routine starrring Jeb and Trump....

I started an OP about this weeks ago. It's obvious that Trump is a stooge being used to make Jebbie look good. Today's remarks by Trump about Jeb's wife just sealed it. Now Jeb gets to defend his wife. Are people in general dumb enough to fall for this ? Yes.

I know that the corporate media will pretend to fall for it, and use it to distract viewers from real issues that affect their lives. Immigration is a real issue, but not when it's covered as a catfight.

Does Trump realize he is being used or is he in on it?

... It's hard to believe the republican puppeteers are really dumb enough to fill their clown car with their current crew and expect to win. Most - maybe all - of them ARE clowns, but their handlers (at least the Party's handlers) are definitely NOT stupid. Witness the 2010-2014 state legislature takeover that flew right under most of our noses and effectively sealed the redistricting nightmare for years to come. It was pure evil genius, and pretty much blindsided the national democratic machine. We are not dealing with idiots at the republican strategic decision making level.

So, why is it so hard to believe that we are being entertained with a dog and pony show while some reasonably well thought out plan is being hatched? Personally I don't think its Bush III. I'm more inclined to think Walker is the one waiting in the wings to enter the race and appear to be the new, rational face of the party.

Think about it. Walker will be able to appear reasonable compared to the other clowns - and while that might ordinarily be a problem for him in the Tea Party psycho heavy primaries, its less of a problem if tons of ridiculous mud has been heaped on the crazies and they are all effectively dead in the water, right? Make it a circus - the wilder the better - that not so much lifts Walker as undercuts Bozo, Pennywise, Clarabell and Ronald McD! Walker can play it fairly vanilla and emerge the winner relatively unscathed by the primaries.

We've all patted ourselves on the back analyzing how the primaries present a catch 22 for the republicans and they are doomed. "Act reasonable, and the base abandons you in the primaries.... act crazy for the base in the primaries, and you can't walk it back in the general".

Don't think for a minute that some very smart people have not been working tirelessly for many months to come up with a plan to counter that problem. Maybe I'm wrong about what it is - but I'd bet my last dollar that there IS a plan in the works, and it won't be happening in the Center Ring.
