For me personally, I never fell on either extreme but more toward the middle. The schools in Oregon back in the 70's and 80's were pretty good, so I got a decent education. After that I was on my own as my family couldn't afford to pay for college or anything else. All things considered I consider myself lucky, but at the same time I don't believe I ever had it easy like Richard. We have a long way to go to make things better for everyone and give all the same opportunities no matter where they are from.
