A woman in Safety Harbor hit her husband on Saturday when he refused to take down a Confederate flag ... Margaret "Peggy" Rae Carpenter, 60, reportedly asked her husband, Larry, to take down the flag several times. When she approached him, deputies wrote in the report, Larry raised his arm to keep her at a distance. Carpenter struck him ... Carpenter faces a charge of domestic battery ...

And then he would be the one up on domestic battery charges if he used force to prevent her. Presumably it's on property they jointly own, so she has the right to take it down just as much as he does.
