'Global Warming' is all a big misunderstanding - we have nothing to worry about

My boss just set me straight about so-called global warming - what we've been witnessing is nothing more than the effects of a natural 200 year solar cycle. He's been studying this for over 6 months, so there's no doubt that he's correct. Here's the link to a paper which proves it:

So apparently we've done all this worrying about greenhouse gasses for nothing, and we can all go back to driving our gas-guzzlers without one iota of guilt.

"Write a papre and publish it. Clearly you've out-thought experts in the field who have been devoting their lives to understnaidng Earths's climate. Obviously, an amateur, relying on other peoples' data whi can out-think those experts is destined for a Nobel."

After they talk about how the establish, ent is bought and paid for, blah, blah, then add:

"Yeah, let's go find some dude downstairs who knows exactly how to run this company. After all, your years of experience, expertise, and record of success mean that no one should trust a thing you say."

That last one might get you fired, unless you're friends with the boss. I had a boss who gave me crap like this and he took the last bit in good humor, and i think i may have even landed some points that got him thinking.

How people who can be intelligent about SOME things can let their assery run rampant in regards to climate change and the environment.

The domain, icecap.us, was registered by Joseph D'Aleo.

He's a well know denier. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_D%27Aleo

Joseph D’Aleo is a Certified Consultant meteorologist and the first Director of Meteorology at The Weather Channel.[1] He was chairman of the American Meteorological Society's Committee on Weather Analysis and Forecasting. D’Aleo was the founder and is the Executive Director at Icecap website.[2] D'Aleo has been a contributing meteorologist to the Old Farmer's Almanac in which he predicted in 2008 that the earth had entered a period of global cooling.[3]

D'Aleo is a signatory to the Cornwall Alliance's "Evangelical Declaration on Global Warming".[4] The declaration states:

"We believe Earth and its ecosystems — created by God’s intelligent design and infinite power and sustained by His faithful providence — are robust, resilient, self-regulating, and self-correcting, admirably suited for human flourishing, and displaying His glory. Earth's climate system is no exception."
Not that that will sway your boss. He probably has been searching out sources that confirm his preconceptions.

Fact of the matter is, industrial civilization runs on internal combustion. The solution -if there is one- is to find renewable, carbon-neutral means of powering our shit. Trying to make people feel "guilt" about something they're going to continue to do regardless, may seem like a useful exercise, but it really isn't.
