son tortured at Export Import Bank

we all know GOP defunded the bank end of June. Only the previous (very profitable) loans are allowed to be monitored at moment. GOP house of representatives staff are in office daily filming the small office...like it couldn't get worse with their terrible morale. Despite efforts to tie bank in to transportation bill; if there is a govt shutdown by congress again for just one day my son will lose job.

Staff at the Ex-Im Bank are still on the job monitoring existing loans; obviously, there are times when they have to "speak of" those loans. As for speaking of a new loan, which there is no authority to make, would be misleading, but I'm not sure what law makes it a felony.

And if there is a government shutdown, I don't think it means that the current employees of Ex-Im wouldn't still have their jobs if and when the government shutdown ended.

as has 18 month program to go from fed programs thru EX IM bank...if fed shut down all his options are done. There are only few employees left as most have left and apprentices left lost. It's very sad.

I have two neighbors that work for the Ex-Im bank. I hope it is revived. But for now, it simply is not true that "only few employees left".

"None of the 420 employees will be furloughed, according to a bank official." http://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/01/business/international/though-charter-is-expiring-export-import-bank-will-keep-its-doors-open.html?_r=0

pray for your neighbors as the morale there is horrid. Of course they say employees will not be furloughed as son was denied to move to agency won't name.
